NORFOLK - Whether it’s continuing their education or heading out to find a job, students at Northeast Community College are experiencing great success after graduation.
During the Board of Governors meeting yesterday (Tuesday), career services director Terri Heggemeyer outlined their 2022 graduation rates at Northeast, stating that 99% of the graduating class is either working or completing their education.
"Of those 99% that completed, 54% went to the workforce, while 45% are continuing their education. For those in the career and technical programs, 90% of those who went to work are in a job related to their field of training."
Haggemeyer says that for those that continued their education, 84% of them are attending a Nebraska college or university. She says that this graduation report is the college’s report card, while testaments show their students are successful after completion.
"Northeast has been known for many years for having an amazing report to share for our campus community, local community, and even our national and global community as well."
The report also shows that 87% of the graduates are employed in Nebraska, with 96% of employers stating that they would consider hiring Northeast graduates in the future.
